With strong advance, on-line ticke sales leading the way, the Dec. 10 - 11 Holiday Tour of Historic Inns was host to well over 1,000 tour-going guests. Thank you to all who participated!
Twelve inns were on the tour Saturday; 13 more on Sunday. Each inn offered savory or sweet fare prepared by one of our dozen restaurant partners, along with innkeepers' individual interpretations of this year's tour theme: Ghosts of Christmas Past.
Some inns offered live stagings of purported spirits-in-residence. Others offered displays of family traditions, historic former residents, heirloom antiques or romantic tales of mystery. All offered a colorful, holiday-flavored welcome to the tour-goers, who traveled the historic inn trail, even as the weather turned misty and breezy on Sunday. Despite the chill in the air, there were warm smiles at every turn. The prevailing spirit of the weekend was the Spirit of Fun!
